5Excellent Headset
By GoHeels81
I must say that I was quite skeptical of ordering this headset. I read many reviews about this set(mostly positive) and decided to order them through Amazon. Having played with this headset for a couple of weeks now I must say that I am very pleased. I have owned the P11's, as well as Tritton AX720's(good sound but uncomfortable) and Turlte Beach Delta's(good sound but wireless interference) in the past and the DP11's are easily my favorite. Comfortable and the sound quality is outstanding for the price. It does take some finagling with the DSS setting to get the sound to your personal liking. Setup was very easy. Only took about 5 minutes and I was off and running. The negatives reviews that I have read about this particular headset was those who heard "buzzing" or "humming" from the DSS unit into the headset. I have had no such issue with this.

All in all this is an outstanding headset. I recommend it to anyone who may be considering purchasing it.

5Love these headsets
By Frankie15dr
I've also got a turtle beach x12 which are amazing but for my pc and I decided to purchase a gaming headset for my ps3. These two headsets are very similar in specs but since this pack comes with the dss2 , I get much better sound quality. I don't play my games with out these I love them. Definitely recommend this to any looking for a high end but cheap headset.

4It feels cheap BUT the sound is amazing
By Dave
Overall this product is good but there will always be a flaw because of our nature.

The Good: Light Weight, Microphone is clear or at least what my team says, separate volume control for game and chat, equalizer and speaker positioning.

The Bad: It feels cheap because of the plastic build.

The Built: mostly made out of plastic and yes it feels cheap. The whole weight will rest on the top of your head and the cup doesn’t hug your ears.

Sound Quality – With the digital output the sound is better and with its mini amplifier/enhancer the sound is more beefy. Wired also means that the sound is more constant compared to wireless that can be interfered. I usually play MW3 and yes footsteps are louder but so does the other sound. You still have to know the map and how the floor should sound when someone is stepping on it or else it will be hard to distinguish footsteps from the other sounds.

Volume rocker: it has game and chat volume control. It also has the mic mute sliding on/off switch.
Mini Enhancer: Equalizer, speaker positioning, surround, main volume knob and on/off switch. The only gripe on this one is that you wouldn't know what preset are you on in the Equalizer and positioning because you just cycle through the settings. I don’t think it remembers the last setting you are on if you turn off PS3 or the headset.

The Verdict – The feel of the headset is cheap and it’s mostly made out of plastic but the sound quality is very good. For the price you are mainly paying for the DSS2 attachment that can amplify any headphones (well it seems like it). I would recommend this headset because my average score improved and microphone wouldn't kill the ears of your teammates.
